Programme Update: January 2019
In December, the development made one of the two drainage connections into the public sewer. The school’s internal works continue to proceed with floor laying in progress. The tower’s façade has been completed, whilst internal works to form the new apartments continue on the floors below. The Nile Street block’s cladding works have progressed enough, to allow the external scaffold dismantling to commence, and internal wall construction is underway to form the new apartment walls with electrical and plumbing works following on behind.
During January, the school’s courtyard landscape works continue along with the internal works. The tower apartment internal works will continue. Scaffold dismantling will continue to the Nile Street block in conjunction with the façade works, whilst building of apartments continue. Excavation works will take place to connect the project’s new drainage into the existing sewer in Nile Street.
Community Engagement
Over the break McLaren have been awarded a thank you letter from the local road safety campaign ‘UK Road Safety’ for partaking in the campaign and sponsoring it for another year:
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank McLaren Construction for their generous support of the Hackney Borough Road Safety Community Chart’ campaign.”
“The McLaren Construction support of this campaign permits greater dissemination of this important road safety message then would normally be possible. These campaign posters will be distributed throughout the Camden and Islington Boroughs.”
